Clear App Cache & Data on the Onn 4K Pro
Over time, apps can store temporary files that may slow down performance. You can clear the cache to help with this. You also have the option to clear data, but this will log you out of the app and erase all saved settings.
WARNING: Be Careful When Clearing Data
Clearing an app’s data will log you out of the app and remove all saved preferences. This includes usernames, passwords, favorites, and downloaded content. Only use this option if absolutely necessary.
Steps to Clear Cache or Data:
- Go to the Home Screen
Press the Home button on your remote. - Open Settings
Navigate to the ⚙️ Settings icon (top-right corner). - Select "Apps"
Scroll down and choose Apps from the menu. - Select “See all apps”
Choose the app you want to manage. - Select “Storage & cache”
This option shows how much space the app is using. - Choose:
- “Clear Cache” – Safe to use. This removes temporary files.
- “Clear Data” – Use with caution! This resets the app completely.
- Confirm your selection
You may be asked to confirm before data is removed.
Recommended:
- Try Clear Cache first before using Clear Data.
- Clear Data only if the app is malfunctioning and clearing the cache doesn’t help.
